In print – check out issue 41 of ‘Bead’!

Let fire inspire!

This gorgeous issue of ‘Bead’ contains all manner of inspiration, features and tutorials for jewellery makers and beaders alike – nestled within its pages are features on all sorts of goodies from a beautifully autumnal copper clay leafy necklace, a coiled ring in copper wire, some fabulous fringing and a perfect-for-the-season ‘fruits of the forest’ bracelet featuring berry beads and glass toadstools!

My tutorial is for some ‘autumn asymmetry’ beads which make use of two glassy ‘reactions’ – the effect of ivory glass on aqua to create a beautiful streaky green, and the reaction of fine silver on ivory glass resulting in a lovely natural organic-looking effect.

As ever, the magazine offers a plethora of beadiness – workshop review, makers’ profiles, readers’ challenge, ‘Bead Soup’ – all the regulars – plus no fewer than 14 tutorial articles.
